Edith Jesse Webster was the seventh child of John Hearne Webster & Euphemia Kay Stewart born January 3rd,1858 at Alphington Lodge, Devon.
In 1861 she was living with the family at The Lodge, Alphington, Devon, & at Prospect St, Reading in 1871 & 1881.
In 1901 Edith, 43, was still unmarried & was with her sister Maud & husband Richard Pearson, a dental surgeon, at the time of the census. They were living at Ruislip, Middx. Her widowed mother Euphemia was also staying with the family.
In Jan-March 1911 Edith married Richard Pearson, her brother-in-law, at Uxbridge. Edith’s sister Maud had died on October 29th, 1904.
At the time of the 1911 census Edith & Richard were living at Northside, Green Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex. With them was Edith’s widowed mother Euphemia, aged 90. Richard was still a dental surgeon & they had a cook & a housemaid.
Edith died on 5th December 1917 at Kingsbridge, South Devonshire. Probate was granted on January 14th, 1918 to widowed Richard Pearson, gentleman. Her effects were £2,391.4s.1d.
Richard married again on September 15th, 1920 at St John the Evangelist, Ladbroke Grove, Nottinghill, London. His 50 year old wife was Henrietta Fanny Jobson, daughter of Henry Jobson an artist.
Richard of The Den, Tarraway Rd, Preston, Paignton, Devon died on July 12th, 1930.
